Turquoise Design was incorporated March 2008 with intention of offering companies a level of agency standard design work, with a personal level of service.
Prior to this I worked in London for an agency specialising in wine. Previously, I lived in France for 3 years where I worked freelance and for a design agency in Paris. Before moving to France I co-ran a design agency in Warwickshire in the UK and at it’s peak had 21 staff. I sold my stake in this company after one year of having moved to France.
I have a good track record of having worked with multinational clients and have a varied portfolio to back this up.
The British School of Paris
The Home Office
Plus a number of smaller accounts.
The current clients are based here in the UK, but also in France, the US, Australia, South America and have been developed by initial contacts made whilst here or in France or through recommendation.
To be able to attract quality clients, credibility and having a good track record is essential. This can be demonstrated by having a sound portfolio of work and an existing company structure. The portfolio of work I have is very varied in terms of industry sectors, so should appeal in some way or another to most companies.
As a designer, I have the ability to produce effective and marketable creative solutions for a variety of clients, from initial concepts through to final production. I have considerable experience in the design and production of: advertisements, annual reports, brochures, corporate identities, exhibitions, magazines, newsletters, product packaging, point of sale items, posters and presentations.
Web Publishing Experience
I have been involved in many web-based projects and utilise my design flair and experience to create effective, user friendly interfaces. Projects I have undertaken include: website interface design and build, site map planning, html newsletters, html emails and flash animations.
Ability to interpret client requirements – to ‘look through their eyes’ and come up with viable and realistic solutions.
Surprising clients with original solutions and innovative concept ideas.
Ability to generate or transform interactive presentations into effective and visually engaging Powerpoint or Acrobat pdf formatted files.
Firm knowledge of print production processes, with the ability to negotiate effectively during procurement of this and other outsourced external services.
Excellent photographic skills and understanding the technicalities of photography.
Personal Strengths Include:
Ability to see a project through to the end.
Good problem solver.
Articulate both verbally and visually when explaining the objectives of a piece of communication.
Flexible, perceptive and diplomatic when dealing with clients and colleagues.
Able to work independently and conscious of fresh opportunities.
Aware of the business implications resulting from changes to project.
Ability to juggle many projects simultaneously.
Eye for detail and meticulous in preparation of work.
What I like
Clean, effective, concise design which conveys its intended message.
Thought provoking ideas.
Clients who listen and are prepared to work as a partnership.
Exceeding client expectations.
What I Dislike
